Amália Fischer - General Coordinator
Mexican-Nicaraguan, based in Brazil since 1995. Phd in Communication and culture, UFRJ. Ashoka and Fellow Synergos. Conceiver, co-founder and General Coordinator of ELAS-Social Investment Fund, the first and unique women’s fund in Brazil. Phd in Communication and Culture by UFRJ. Master in Science of Communications by UNAM. Chair and Co-Founder of the Board of Fondo de Acción Urgente Latinoamerica. Board Member of Baobá Fund for Racial Equity. C0-founder of the International Network of Women's Funds. Professor for 20 years at the Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales – UNAM. Co- Founder of the Women’s Studies Center at the Faculty of Psychology-UNAM. Feminist scholar and Women’s Rights activist since 1975, her Phd thesis was a cartography of the Latin American feminist movement and it’s communicative action: “Midia and Feminist Cartograpgies: communicative strategies and micropolitics”, UFRJ. In Mexico also collaborated with some newspapers such as: Universal, La Jornada and Uno Más Uno. And she had publicized articles in some books and academic reviews about gender and communications, intersexuality, feminist movement in Latin-America, philanthropy, social investment in women’s and women’s rights and entrepreneurship.


K.K. Verdade- Executive Director
Lesbian-feminist activist. Expert in LGBT rights, women’s human rights and political participation. Co-founder and former CEO of the first lesbian feminist NGO in Brasilia. Proposed and organized the First Lesbian Parade in Brasilia in 2005. Author of the book "Law and Jurisprudence LGBTTT" a publication on federal legislation and judicial decision to promote LGBTTT’s rights in Brazil. Has a Bachelor’s in Public Management – Political Science. Master in Sociology focused on ‘Women’s political participation and representative democracy in Brazil’. Actually attending a Ph.D course at the Department of Sociology and Politics of Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.


Ana Luiza Almeida e Silva - Program Manager
Consultant with seven years of experience in human rights, environmental law and corporate social responsibility, working in NGOs, private sector and government. Ana Luiza is graduated in Law (UFF), Master in Law, State and Constitution (Brasilia University) and Master in Policies and Practices of Human Rights (Erasmus Mundus program). Ana Luiza has worked with programs related to women's rights and domestic violence in Brazil, Norway and Angola.


Savana Brito – Program Officer
Graduated in Social Sciences at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) in the State of Minas Gerais, she is a feminist and LGBT activist and human rights defender. She worked on the Viçosa Municipal Council of Women´s Rights mobilizing and working with the Network to Combat Violence Against Women. Savana was part of the team of the Social Movements Advisory and Centre for Social Movements of UFV executing projects and programs. She has worked at the Diagnostics od Violation of Human Rights of Communities Affected by Dams of Granada and Emboque in MG.


Renata Saavedra – Communication Manager
Journalist graduated at UFRJ, Master in History, postgraduate degree in Urban Sociology (UERJ) and Gender and Sexuality (UERJ). Participated in the production of the "Mapa de Cultura do Rio de Janeiro", pioneering project of the Secretaria de Estado de Cultura, coordinated by Diadorim ideas. Renata is researching urban cultural manifestations and collectives of young feminists to her doctoral thesis in Communication and Culture at UFRJ.


Jéssica Pires – Communication Assistant
Journalist graduated at Universidade Candido Mendes, postgraduated in Strategic Communication at Infnet. She studied Affirmative Advertising with emphasis on Digital Culture in the Popular School of Critic CommunicationObservatório das Favelas, participating in the campaign Juventude Marcada pra Viver, on the defense of the reduction of the black youth death in Brazil. She is a member of the collective and communication agency AMaréVê as a photographer and social media, in which she develops productions for the visibility of the role and representation of Parque União and other slums from Maré.


Vanessa Lucena – Development Manager
Woman, lesbian, feminist, graduate student of Public Relations at Fapcom in Sao Paulo. Vanessa works on the third sector since 2003. She has worked at GIFE and CEOS investing in strategies for strengthening social organizations. She is currently studying the communication of the feminist cause and the strength of the changing role of women.


Ana Lídia Hespanhol Macedo Stross - Financial Manager
Professional with 19 years of experience in administration, finance and accounting. Ana Lídia has worked in large companies and organizations implementing social and environmental projects. MBA: Financial Management and Comptroller; Postgraduated: Civil Procedural Law; Graduated: Law, Accounting and Undergraduated: Business Administration.


Rosane Barbosa - Administrative Advisor
Worked in national companies in the area of Customer Service, Secretariat and as a financial assistant. She support the ideals and goals of feminist and anti-racist movements, and believes in social investment focused on women’s rights.
