International Day of Non-Violence against Women
Tribute to the Mirabal sisters (Patria, Minerva and Maria Teresa) for their violent murder on November 25, 1960, by the dictator Rafael Trujilo in the Dominican Republic. In 1999, the date was officially recognized by the United Nations as the International Day of Non-Violence against Women.

National Men's Mobilization Day to end violence against women - White Ribbon

Date of the massacre at the Polytechnic School in Montreal, Canada, on December 6, 1989, when 14 female students were murdered and 13 injured. It is the day of the Global Men's Mobilization to End Violence against Women, the White Ribbon Campaign.
