FIND OUT THE RESULTS OF THE 30CALL FOR PROPOSALS

ELAS Fund, UN Women and NGO Empodera announce the results of the II ELAS in Sports Call for Proposals - One Victory Leads to Another, which aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society institutions and groups to empower girls through sport. The call is made possible through the resources of the International Olympic Committee.

Eleven organizations were selected to receive financial and technical support to develop projects for gender equity and the inclusion of girls in sports. The selected projects will work with sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, boxing and handball.

Several regions of the municipality will benefit from the actions, which will be carried out in Santa Cruz, Pedra de Guaratiba, Cidade de Deus, Praça Seca, Campo Grande, Manguinhos, Complexo do Alemão, Ramos, among others.

The selected organizations will implement the "One Victory Leads to Another" program in different neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, an interdisciplinary training with thematic and sports workshops. Through the program, in addition to acquiring skills brought by sport, such as focus, discipline, persistence, teamwork, respect for rules and appreciation of diversity, girls also acquire important skills for other areas of life: leadership and strengthening self-esteem, sexual and reproductive health and rights, combating violence against women, financial education and planning for the future.
