The twelve founding companies of the Business Movement for the Economic Development of Women launched the Movimento Mulher 360 Association (MM360), an independent, non-profit business association to encourage the economic empowerment of Brazilian women.

The initiative, which is unprecedented in the world, aims to encourage gender equality, address ways of incorporating the issue into business strategy, identify good practices that can be replicated and provide tools for measuring progress in the field.

Development manager Vanessa Lucena represented the ELAS Fund at the launch: "It is only possible to accelerate the steps towards women's economic development with companies as active partners in this movement," says Vanessa.

On the occasion, a debate was held, mediated by journalist Maria Cândida. Among the subjects discussed were the benefits that promoting gender equality brings to business, real cases of changes in behavior and breaking paradigms and expectations in relation to the Movement.

The following are members of the Movimento Mulher 360 Association: Bombril, Boticário, Cargill, Coca-Cola, DelRio, Diageo, Johnson & Johnson, Natura, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Santander, Unilever and Walmart.
