The Caderno de Boas Práticas: Empoderamento de meninas - como iniciativas brasileiras estão ajudar a garantir a igualdade de gênero, produced by the Institute for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (Indica) in partnership with Plan International, Childhood and UNICEF, was launched on December 15. The launch took place at the National Secretariat for the Promotion of the Rights of Children and Adolescents in Brasilia.

The ELAS Fund is one of the organizations mapped in the publication, which provides information for the state, the family and society to reflect on how gender interferes in guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents. In addition, KK Verdade, executive coordinator of the ELAS Fund, was one of the interviewees and took part in the mapping of experiences.
The aim of the Caderno de Boas Pr áticas is to contribute to the debate on the living conditions of Brazilian girls and to call on the responsible sectors to promote gender equality and the empowerment of girls, in line with the commitment made as part of the Sustainable Development Goals - SDG 2
To this end, the publication presents a mapping of experiences carried out by civil society and public sector organizations that promote gender equality through the empowerment of girls. The aim is for the actions, projects and programs presented to serve as a reference for drawing up, implementing, monitoring and evaluating public policies that are essential for the development of girls in Brazil.
