A café-bar with a carioca flair, serving snacks such as empadas, pastéis, salgadinhos, caldinhos, bolinhos de arroz, batata calabresa, isca de fígado, bolo de aipim and drinks. This is Favela Point, the fourth venture of the Elas em Movimento Program, which opened on the 15th.

"Tourists come up here to the favela all the time, and with the cable car we'll have more visibility and more customers," explains Carol - Carolina Pacheco dos Santos, one of the partners.
The initiative was made possible by providing services to Chevron Brasil through the "Elas em Movimento" program, which stimulates the entrepreneurial spirit of women living in communities covered by the policy of the Pacifying Police Units (UPP).
This is the fourth enterprise inaugurated by the program. The other three are the self-service and delivery restaurant Saborearte, in Jardim Batan, which opened in 2010; the handmade soap workshop Bolhas Coloridas, in Cidade de Deus, which opened in March 2011; and the equipment rental and catering company Celebrando Festas & Cia, which opened in October 2011.
