September 1, 2017 is the new deadline for applications to the Building Movements - Contemporary Feminisms call for proposals. The one-week extension aims to allow more women's groups from all over the country to submit their proposals, which must focus on mobilizing women to defend their rights, political training and collective feminist action.
The good news doesn't stop there! We also announced an increase in funding for the call for proposals: 13 projects will be selected and will receive a direct donation of R$25,000.
Another novelty: the British Council has made available a list of UK organizations for potential partnerships, which you can see attached to the call for proposals. If your organization is interested in partnering with one of these UK groups, please write to renata.coccaro@britishcouncil.org.br.
We would like to point out that projects will be selected from all over the country that strengthen the fight for gender equality through collective feminist actions that promote intergenerational and inter-movement dialogues and the exchange of experiences between countries in the Latin American region as well as with the United Kingdom.
The Building Movements - Contemporary Feminisms call for proposals is the result of an unprecedented alliance to strengthen the feminist movement formed by the British Council, UN Women, the Open Society Foundations and the ELAS Fund. Find out more about the partnership here.
