Women's organizations and groups are taking part in the FST (Thematic Social Forum) taking place in Porto Alegre. The aim is to strengthen alliances between movements in the fight against green capitalism. On the 25th, for example, the Feminism and Ecology - Women in the Struggle Against Green Capitalism debate was held. Beforehand, they discussed with other movements proposals to be taken to the United Nations Development Conference (Rio+20).
 

"Women are the hardest hit in every crisis. They are the most impoverished, the ones who suffer the most violence. If we don't unite in a single struggle and in a single voice, we won't succeed - neither the feminist struggle nor the environmental struggle. We need to bring these struggles together, because we are all in the same process of destruction and within the same model," said Cláudia Prates
