ELAS Social Investment Fund is participating in the 30th annual conference of the Women's Funding Network, which will take place from October 7 to 9 in San Francisco, USA.
ELAS Fund executive coordinator K.K. Verdade will open the "Innovation in Action" session on Wednesday 7th. Jackie Rotman (Spark), Ruby Bright (Women's Foundation for a Great Memphis), Jennifer Windsor (Women for Women International), Sarah Ghiorse (NewMexicoWomen), Brenda Council (Omaha Women's Fund), K. Sujata (Chicago Foundation for Women) and Mary Crooks (Victoria Women's Trust) will also speak at the session.
With the theme "Paths to Equity: Innovative Philanthropy for Women and Girls", the meeting will bring together leaders from more than 400 foundations, donors, women leaders in technology and business, activists and various gender equity funders.
Innovative projects and initiatives that have improved the lives of young and adult women around the world will be presented. The fight against human trafficking and violence against women, the connections between gender norms and inequalities and the challenges of strengthening the work of funds and foundations focused on women's rights and equity will be some of the topics discussed.
