Since it was founded in 2000, the ELAS Fund has supported the black women movement in Brazil and strengthened the anti-racist struggle in the country.

Throughout the month of July, when we celebrate the International Day of Latin American and Caribbean Black Women and the National Day of Tereza de Benguela, we're going to pay tribute to some of the black women groups we've supported, saluting their resistance throughout the country.
Each day we will present one of the groups from black women that the ELAS Fund has supported over the 17 years it has been investing in gender equality and social justice.
