On Tuesday, November 29, the ELAS Fund is taking part in the Day of Giving, which is a major campaign to promote a culture of giving in Brazil and around the world. The Day of Giving is a mobilization for a more generous and supportive country, especially for civil society organizations.
Organizations and people from all over the world are taking part in this movement, either by donating on November 29 or by taking action to encourage individuals and companies to donate on the same day.
On this day, the ELAS Fund is calling on Brazilians to donate to the women's cause, which is one of the causes that receives the least donations. Although more than half of Brazilians made donations in 2015, the causes that raise the most awareness among donors are health, children, the fight against hunger, the elderly and emergency situations (accidents, disasters, etc.).
This is the conclusion of the Brazil Donation Surveycarried out by the Institute for the Development of Social Investment in 2015. The survey also shows that solidarity and sensitivity towards people who need support are the main motivations for 80% of donors.

The ELAS Fund has already donated more than R$22.5 million, supporting more than 370 projects by women's groups all over Brazil, expanding women's rights and Leadership .
