From April 28 to May 3, the ELAS Fund will be visited by women from two important international organizations dedicated to social investment in women. One of them is Women Moving Millionsa philanthropic community of women who have each donated at least 1 million dollars to organizations and initiatives that support women and girls. The other is the Global Fund for Womenthe first international women's fund in the Americas, with more than 20 years' experience, which works for the human rights of women and girls, financing and amplifying the work of women who are building social movements for rights.

A group of 22 women donors from both institutions will be in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro on an intense agenda to learn more about the women's movement in Brazil. The aim of this visit is for these philanthropists to share their experiences with Brazilian women and get to know groups that are making a difference for women in Brazil. The ELAS Fund, the first independent fund focused exclusively on social investment in women and girls in Brazil, has been chosen as the host and will act as a bridge between the international philanthropists, like-minded Brazilian philanthropists and women's organizations.

On April 29, in São Paulo, the first meeting with Brazilian feminist organizations and movements will take place. In partnership with Funcadi - Instituto Carlos e Diva Pinho, ELAS is promoting a conversation between the visitors and representatives from Geledés, Instituto Patrícia Galvão, Católicas pelo Direito de Decidir and the Marcha das black women. The aim is to present the work the organizations have been doing in the country and the political context of Brazil and the women's movement.

Over the next few days, there will also be meetings with various grantees by the ELAS Fund, such as Levante Mulher, MariaLab, Ilú Obá de Min, Empoderadas, Instituto AMMA, CFEMEA, Ilê Omolu Oxum, Criola, CAMTRA, Maré de Sabores, Rádio Mulher, Roque Pense and Streefootballworld Brasil.
