The ELAS Fund team organized the Annual Meeting of the Alliance of Women's Funds of Latin America, held on June 4 and 5 in Rio de Janeiro.

The meeting was attended by the directors and program managers of the 7 funds that make up the Alliance alongside the ELAS Fund: Chile's Alchemy Fund; Bolivia's Apthapi Jopueti Fund; Central America's Central American Women's Fund; Colombia's Lunaria Fund; Argentina's Southern Women's Fund (which operates in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay); Mexico's Semillas Fund; and Colombia's Urgent Action Fund (which operates throughout Latin America and the Caribbean).

The main objective of the annual meetings of the Alliance of Latin American Women's Funds is to generate opportunities for collaboration between women's funds in the region and to strengthen collective support strategies for Latin American women's rights movements.

The meeting was supported by Prospera and Mama Cash.

In the same week, on the 7th and 8th, the Alliance also held the Meeting of the Alliance of Latin American Funds for Women, Territory and Socio-environmental Justice, in which socio-environmental funds such as the CASA Fund and FASOL - Fondo Acción Solidaria joined women's funds to discuss joint projects.
