KK Verdade, executive coordinator of the ELAS Fund, is taking part in the 10th Biennial Conference of Prospera - the International Network of Women's Funds - from October 23 to 26.
The conference is being co-organized by the South Asian Women's Fund (SAWF). The main themes discussed are strategies to promote resilience and support resistance to the increase in violence and oppression against women's human rights, both locally and globally.
There are also debates on trends in funding for women's rights and environmental and climate justice and strategic alignment between national, regional and global women's funds, among other topics.
Prospera is the International Network of Women's Funds. The ELAS Fund is one of its 38 members, all women's funds committed to social investment to support local actions by women's groups that promote sustainable social change towards a world with more gender equity and social justice.
