The research 'Activism and the Pandemic in Brazil', a pioneering study carried out by ELAS+brought important data on formal and informal social projects operating in Brazil: it reveals that organizations, in addition to providing shelter and support to the most vulnerable during the pandemic, carried out actions for digital equity and reinvented their activism.

The study was based on information from almost a thousand groups working on issues such as tackling racism, climate justice and sustainable development, women's political participation, LBTI+ rights, reproductive justice, the right to land, the right to the city and mobility, and ending violence, digital and technological inequality.

The survey was launched nationally in December 2021 and internationally on March 23, 2022. A International Live stream about Philanthropy and Women and LTBI's Rights: Activism and Pandemic in Braziltook place in partnership with organizations from the philanthropy ecosystem: MADRE, Prospera, WINGS, UN Women
