The panel with funders on "Where are the resources for women's and trans activism? "brought together partners who can financially support activist organizations and give visibility to priority human rights issues.
The Executive Coordinator of ELAS+, K.K. Truth, opened the panel by saying:
"We want to bring some human rights supporters closer to activists in Brazil. The institutions we will hear from here are not limited to financial support... they are also relationship support, which is often as important as financial support. They are partners that can give visibility to Brazilian realities in global agendas."
Eleven institutions participated in the panel, including Brazilian and international ones. Fondation CHANEL, Front Line Defenders, FAU-AL, MADRE, Baobá Fund, Brazil Human Rights Fund, Casa Socioambiental Fund, Itaú, Instituto Unibanco, Black Feminist Fund and Philanthropy Network for Social Justice.
All of them brought some of the history of their institutions, their focus of support and other ways of being alongside women's organizations. The allied institutions demonstrated that they are in tune with current issues and reinforced how they are concerned with listening to organizations to structure their lines of support. They talked about the regions and themes they prioritize and how to access resources.
