Until October 31st, the entire community can vote for the Giving for change Award via the website www.doarparatransformar.org.br. In the Foundations and Institutes category, the Avon Institute and the Consulado da Mulher Institute are competing. In the Corporate category, Lojas Renner and Fersol are competing. And in the Individual category, we have the participation of donors from Camtra (RJ) and Coturno de Vênus (DF).
The Giving for change Award, an initiative of the ELAS Social Investment Fund and UNIFEM (United Nations Development Fund for Women), aims to create a new culture of donations in Brazil. To this end, it highlights actions aimed at social investment in the human rights and Leadership of girls, young women and women in three categories: legal entity, institute or foundation and individual.
"With this award, we want to show that the investments made in projects and organizations that work with girls, young people and women give an excellent social return. We also want to show that there are still very few resources for this area of activity in Brazil," says ELAS general coordinator Madalena Guilhon.
The winners of the 2010 edition of the Giving for change Awards will be announced in the first half of November, at an event to be held in Rio de Janeiro.
