The first group from Elas em Movimento, Chevron's social responsibility program in Brazil, paid a visit to the company's headquarters in downtown Rio de Janeiro. On the occasion, the members of Saborearte had the opportunity to find out a little more about the company and also to tell them about the new meals venture they created and developed, which is due to be launched soon in the Jardim Batan community, in Realengo (RJ).
"The excitement of the Saborearte girls about the business they have created and are developing is the fulfillment of our mission as the only social investment fund for women in Brazil," comments ELAS General Coordinator Madalena Guilhon.
The group has received the latest training classes and is carrying out the work and shopping needed to create the kitchen that will support the project. In the coming weeks, the program will reach the community of Cidade de Deus, in the West Zone, and then Borel, in Tijuca, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. To this end, young women are being selected to take part in the dialogues and to support the composition of the groups.
