33 organizações de mulheres todo o país se reuniram no evento, que foi transmitido ao vivo pela internet.

A talk by Darren Walker, president of the Ford Foundation, a long-standing partner of the ELAS Fund, took place on the first day of the event.

"For the ELAS Fund this was an extremely relevant moment, for putting women's rights on the social investment agenda," says Amalia Fischer.

The event will be attended by the executive superintendent of the Unibanco Institute and representatives of the Carlos Chagas Foundation, the Baobá Fund and the Federal University of São Carlos.

Promoted by the Carrefour Institute, the event discusses the challenges facing Brazilian women in the job market. The meeting brings together representatives of the business community, civil organizations and governments.

Gratuitas, as inscrições seguem até 8 de abril. O objetivo do curso é capacitar lideranças comunitárias femininas em direitos humanos das mulheres e explicar o sistema de organização da Justiça e do Estado.

Amalia Fischer will be on the panel Gender and race equity in education, which will discuss how the partnership between private social investment, academia and independent funds can contribute to meeting the challenge of gender and race equity in education.

The projects submitted must initially prove the link between the Zika virus and severe malformations in newborns. Once this requirement has been met, the researchers will be able to tackle the fight against the virus, including developing methods for diagnosis and testing potential vaccines or treatments.
