No dia 11 de novembro, às 14h30min, será realizado no Centro de Culturas Piano Fabriek, em Bruxelas, na Bélgica, o primeiro encontro “Mulheres apoiando mulheres”. O evento é uma realização da Associação Art’Nativa Brasil e o ELAS e tem como objetivo lançar o Fundo no país, além de arrecadar recursos para apoiar os grupos de meninas, jovens e mulheres.

Para mim foi maravilhoso ficar aqui esses dois dias. Esse fim de semana foi um dos melhores que já tive, me deu mais esperança, segurança e força de vontade de seguir em frente e não desistir, continuar. Vamos trabalhar todas juntas e aprender umas com as outras. Fico muito feliz por estar aqui e agradeço muito a todas”, comentou uma das participantes dos Dialógos para melhoria das condições de vida, que reuniu moradoras de comunidade do Borel e proximidades (RJ).

Destaca ainda que elas são responsáveis por movimentar 66% da economia – e que não estão satisfeitas pela maneira com que vêm sendo tratadas pelas empresas brasileiras. Saborearte, a meals business in Jardim Batan (RJ), arrived in the community this November after six months of planning, training and a lot of effort to make a joint dream come true. The launch is part of the "Elas em Movimento" program, which is enabling women from Jardim Batan, Cidade de Deus and Borel to start building a business together. The initiative is a Chevron action through the ELAS Social Investment Fund. The total investment in the three communities is R$ 425 thousand.

From September 24 to 26, the Casa da Mulher Trabalhadora held the course "Exchanging Ideas: Young Women in Defense of their Rights". The training was another activity of the institution's Young Women's Nucleus, which seeks to contribute to the training and self-organization of young women in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro. The organization received funding from ELAS, through the XI Project Competition, with the support of Unifem.

On September 30 and October 1, ten grantees from the 13th Project Competition, whose theme is sexual autonomy and sexual and reproductive rights, met in Rio de Janeiro. The meeting focused on the communication strategies that will be used in the projects and sought to provide innovative reflections and suggestions.

The organization black women Maria Mulher, from Porto Alegre (RS), has won a lawsuit against a company in Rio Grande do Sul that discriminated against a black employee. The company was ordered to pay the costs of an advertising campaign for women's equality in the job market.

On July 10, Brazilian feminist Danda Prado received a tribute in Rio de Janeiro. At the age of 80, she shared her stories, opinions and experiences about feminism in Brazil and around the world with an audience made up of feminists and young women.
